Who we are

Prepser ("we", "us") makes the Prepser iPhone app and the website prepser.com. You can reach us at support@prepser.com.

Accepting these terms

Using the app or the site means you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, don't use Prepser.

Who can use Prepser

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

What Prepser does

Prepser lets you capture a sermon — by recording, importing audio, scanning a Bible page or pasting text — and turns it into a transcript and a set of artifacts: outline, key points, Scripture, prayer points, social posts, newsletter, small-group questions and a review of your invitation. You can chat with the assistant about your own material, keep a church calendar, and export to Logos.

We don't write sermons. Everything Prepser produces is a draft built from your own content, for you to review and use as you see fit.

Your account

Prepser creates an anonymous account on your device when you first open it. You can link it to Sign in with Apple so you can restore your notes on a new device. You're responsible for keeping your device secure. You can delete your account any time from Settings.

Your content

Your recordings, scans, files, transcripts, notes and everything generated from them stay yours. You give us permission to store, transcribe, process and sync that content solely to provide the service to you. We don't use it to train AI models. You confirm that you have the right to record and upload whatever you upload.

Recording others

A recording of a service contains other people's voices — the congregation, testimonies, children. You're responsible for letting those present know they're being recorded and for obtaining consent where the law of your state or country requires it. Prepser is a technical tool and doesn't verify this.

AI-generated content

Transcripts and artifacts are produced by automated systems. They can contain errors, misquoted Scripture, wrong references and plain mistakes. Check everything before it reaches the pulpit. We're not responsible for the theological accuracy of anything Prepser generates. Prepser is not a pastor, a counselor, or a substitute for Scripture.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer the app, access our API with automated tools, upload unlawful or harmful content, infringe anyone's rights, or work around the limits of the free tier.

Third-party services

Prepser relies on Apple, OpenAI, AssemblyAI and Amazon Web Services. Their terms govern their part of the service.

Intellectual property

The app, the website and the Prepser brand are ours. Bible verse links open in ref.ly, and Bible texts belong to their publishers. Logos is a trademark of Faithlife; we're not affiliated with them.

No warranties

Prepser is provided "as is". We don't promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that its output will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost data or lost profits. Our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

You'll cover any claims by third parties that arise from your content — including recordings made without required consent — or from your breach of these terms.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, with notice where we reasonably can.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we update the date at the top. For material changes we'll tell you in the app. Continuing to use Prepser after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, and any dispute goes to the courts of Ukraine. Before that, email support@prepser.com and give us 30 days to sort it out informally. Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country or state of residence.

Apple

These terms are between you and Prepser. Apple is not a party to them, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you're not located in a country under a US government embargo and not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
